Yes, I well remember the "Pound". I remember a group called PennyFarthing.  I remember Saturday afternoons sitting around drinking ''Carlsburg Elephants" and then heading off to the Jazz Club to listen to Big Daddy.  It was a life time ago.
When I left Belfast  in 1969 I was given the  big sword that hung on the wall across from the bar.   That same day, I swapped it for a crocodile skin and brought that to Canada with me.
Belfast in the late 60's really rocked.  I remember lining up for tickets to The Stones, John Mayall, Gene Pitney.  .and they all performed on the stage of a cinema.

I remember being in the Pound Loney on numerous occasions with the bands.

I used to roadie for Shorty and also The Circle so I would have been there on weekend nights. Fortunately I was never there when there was riots; been there when there was a few fights but I would not have called them riots.

Looking if anyone has any photos of Francis McGuigan. He drank and sang in the Pound Loney.
