Buster Mc Shane owened the GYM in Glengormley he had a heart attack and passed away around 1976 :( I had a wee chuckle after reading the posts,all i can remember was when my friend and i had decided to go to the Gym and was introduced to Buster he said to me ,well i can see big girl you love your  food.LOL

Wrong.  Buster died in a car accident in April 1973.

I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread.
By chance I stumbled across this!

Noel McShane was my grandfather and to be able to read and hear other people's thoughts and opinions on him as lovely as they are is absolutely brilliant!

You will be John's boy then?  I knew your Da and Granda.

 The gym in Glengormley was owned by Sidney Baxter who did have heart problems but was a good bloke.  He had a quiet wit.   :)

I deposited the body of Buster into the morgue on the Lagan Bank Rd in Belfast and he died as a result of a car accident in the Hollywood area.
