It's possible some members may have photographs of Scotland Street but not have a clue where the street
is / was located. Scotland Street was off Castle Street in the Smithfield area.

The following surnames were in Scotland Street in 1960 ... Close, Collins, Donnelly, Johnson, Johnstone, Kelly, McDade, McIlwee, Melaney, Milligan, Mills, Murray and Pike

I have family from scoland street called melaney n there's only 2 who r living r rosie n bridie any info please past on

I am very interested to speak to anyone concernina Scotland Street, Belfast.  My grandfather lived at No 5 way back in 1921 and he also knew a Melaney so I'm wondering if there is a connection.  Please get in touch and if anyone has photographs that would be a bonus.

Thanks for your reply.  My story is a bit of a mixed bag.  My grandfather had returned to Northern Ireland around 1921 with my dad and his sister.  My grandmother died tragically in 1919.  In order for my grandfather to remain working he had to find accommodation for my father and his sister and they were checked into Nazareth House and Lodge through St. Mary's.  Their address was given as 5 Scotland Street.
