Hello everyone,

I have access to these records, the collection isn't complete but if you're trying to find out for example; where a relative was buried, it may prove useful.

If anyone wants me to look up a certain date to see if details were published in the Belfast Newsletter, post them here along with the name and I'll have a look.

Thank you for such a terrific offer.

May I ask if there is any mention of the two William John McCaughan (en) passed away 23rd December 1905 at 36 Mount Street. Belfast, also, his wife that might be a little harder.  Ann M'Caughen  passed away in the Apr-May-Jun 1900 age 77 years. believe same address  The spelling on the BMDs you will note is slightly different.

Once again thanks for a great offer.

Richard

Hi Richard,

Unfortunately in 1905 the collection only goes up to September, so I wasn't able to look for William.  But I did look up newspapers in December 1906 in case someone had placed an 'in memoriam' notice but there wasn't any.

I looked in all the newsletter papers in April / May / June in 1900 but no Ann I'm afraid.  I even looked up March and July just in case.

If there are any other names and dates I can help you with let me know.

Thank you for your help on the search. Pity nothing found but now I know for certain.  Very much appreciated.

If I can prevail one more time and that will be it.  Alexander Moore (my Great-Grandfather) passed away 16th April 1921 of 32 Lawther Street. Belfast. age 70 years   I am still trying to find where he came from. s o, many family stories, not sure what to believe. If there was an obit it would certainly help.

Regards

Richard

Hi Kassie

Unfortunately those names don't appear in the notice section of the Newsletter for the years given. I even looked a few weeks either side of the date to be sure.

How far have you got back Richard?  Have you seen his marriage certificate, there may be more info on it?

This is a brilliant new service you are offering.  Unfortunately I dont know what date my ancestors died because I cant find them on the belfast buriel records.  When I work that out, I  will get back to you.   Thanks

Hi z7dx
If you could find death notices or obituaries for James Alexander Robinson died 25 June 1920, Dromore, Co.Down, and his daughter Esther Jane Amelia Robinson died 7 July 1917, Dromore, Co.Down, I would appreciate it very much, I haven't been able to find where they are buried.           Thank you

Hello X7dx

Thank you for the details on the Moore burials. I did already have those, and it was because of published burials on-line  that I have found another Moore cousin still residing in Belfast. I have written but as yet no reply.

The answer to the marriage question, IGI have a record of William J McCaughan and Ann Telford marrying December 9th 1842, Belfast. so no marriage certificate to apply for there as too early for certs.   The date or I should say year,  sounds correct as their children were baptised at St Anne’s. Belfast  A distant cousin on his last visit to Proni searched for the marriage without any success, so they may have married elsewhere in Belfast.

May I thank you for your interest and your time spent searching on my behalf

Richard
