Hi z7dx
If you could find death notices or obituaries for James Alexander Robinson died 25 June 1920, Dromore, Co.Down, and his daughter Esther Jane Amelia Robinson died 7 July 1917, Dromore, Co.Down, I would appreciate it very much, I haven't been able to find where they are buried.           Thank you

I looked up all the notices in June and July 1920 for James, and July and August 1917 for Esther but unfortunately no notices placed in the Newsletter for either of them.

Hello X7dx

Thank you for the details on the Moore burials. I did already have those, and it was because of published burials on-line  that I have found another Moore cousin still residing in Belfast. I have written but as yet no reply.

The answer to the marriage question, IGI have a record of William J McCaughan and Ann Telford marrying December 9th 1842, Belfast. so no marriage certificate to apply for there as too early for certs.   The date or I should say year,  sounds correct as their children were baptised at St Anne’s. Belfast  A distant cousin on his last visit to Proni searched for the marriage without any success, so they may have married elsewhere in Belfast.

May I thank you for your interest and your time spent searching on my behalf

Richard

You are very welcome Richard, I just wish that I could have found a notice for one of your relatives.  Even with research into my own family, there were very few notices placed in the Newsletter but when I found one it was very worthwhile.  Hopefully I can find notices soon to help other forum members.  If you have any other names and dates let me know.

Good luck with your search into the marriage between William J McCaughan and his wife Ann, you probably already have the following details but I did a few quick searches and verified them on two different websites just in case:

Samuel McCaughan born 1845, Co Antrim (Father: William McCaughan, Mother: Ann Telford)
Maria Ann McCaughan born 1849, Co Antrim (Father: William John McCaughan, Mother: Ann Telford)
Susanna McCaughan born 1852, Co Antrim (Father: William John McCaughan, Mother: Ann Telford)
Elizabeth McCaughan born 1860, Co Antrim (Father: William John McCaughan, Mother: Ann Telford)

Hi again z7dx

Thank you for the information,  I did have three of the four of the McCaughan‘s, but Susanna was new to me.  The last hour I had spare at Proni a few years back I did manage to find the other three. Maria Ann McCaughan married my Great Grandfather Alexander Moore at St Anne’s 10/11/1875 (Certificate) and Elizabeth McCaughan, (that’s how she spelt her surname with an ‘E‘) who never married,  I do have copies of letters that she had sent to my late Mother, she sounded a really lovely lady.

Now I believe for this couple William and Ann they had at least eight children

Thank you for all your time on this subject. Very much appreciated.

Regards

Richard

Hi john, could you narrow it down a bit, as I have to look at each individual newspaper, (no search function unfortunately), I would be very happy to look at specific dates or months for you.

Could you please look for the deaths of John Kerr (Sydney Street West) on 29 June 1931 and his son Robert Kerr who died 8 days later on 7 July 1931 at the same address?
