Surely dommo, without us poland who were invadeD would be sprechen deutsch, not the other way round. Without the russians, and hitlers bad leadership we were well beat.

My bad, I was not clear. Without the Polish RAF pilots, Operation Seelowe would have resulted in People in Belfast studying German in school. And so they saved the british Isles.
Yes, you are right without the allies the Poles would have been eventually eradicated as a people by the Germans.  The Battle of Britain preseved the UK to be used as a staging ground for Normandy. So if the RAF had failed not just the UK and the Eire would have been lost, but there would have been no Western front.
Atr the end of the film "Battle of Britain" they list all the nationalities of the pilots involved. The list is not exactly accurate (it lists Israelis for example) but it is international.

The bravery of the raf and bomber command, saved britian. The survival percentage of these people after each mission was very low, but they kept going into battle. O0

Reading political machinations bores me to tears, so I'll base this post on the jist of your email.

Is Polands refusal to allow entry of Soviet tanks a good enough reason for billyh to block the City Hall marking Polish day (or whatever it is)?
Off course not. Like most threads that tend to go slightly off topic i just took the opportunity to recommend a good read for anyone interested in Poland,s role during the second world war. I think the point being made is ,what relevance does Polish independence day have for the people of Northern Ireland and is it Money well spent by Belfast City Council. Personally I don,t really care much, more important issues to think about.
