KEENAN/FARRELL MARRIAGE

Having recently stayed in Belfast to research my O'Kane family I found a lot but was left with more riddles. I believe Elizabeth Farrell (father John a plumber) married I think Henry Keenan.
I think their children are:-
Elizabeth born 1877 or 1881?
Margaret(Margaretta) born 1877 or 1882?
Joseph born 1883   lived:- 1918 90 Mountcollyer Street
Teresa born 1881

and possibly Edith Henrietta born 1878
all born Belfast

They lived:-
1901 43 California Street -  Elizabeth was a widow at this time
1911 85 Mountcollyer Street

Elizabeth's sister Mary Anne married Joseph O'Kane my Great Grandad

Emerald ancestors and Ancestryireland. both are subscription sites if you want a full record, but bear in mind GRONI are bringing a lot of old records online  in Mid-Late April.

Hi, do you know if your Elizabeth Farrell had a brother also called John aswell as his father being John? My great grandmother was born Henrietta Farrell in 1905, her father was John Farrell born around 1876 in Belfast and lived in the Dock ward/Duncairn areas.
It's coincidental that both these names are in your family.

The only way your family would fit into mine is if I could find another John farrell born about 1849 to John Farrell Plumber born about 1817.  I'm not having much luck with the Farrells, on 1901 and 1911 censuses it say Elizabeth born about 1857 was born in Glasgow!

The John Farrell plumber living at 43 California Street was my Gt Gt Grandad.

I'm visiting Belfast again in May so may have some luck then.

The people on this site are amazing and have helped me out a lot.

You never know we may connect the dots one day.

So with the help of some lovely people on here they have been able to find some records which show that my John Farrell born 1869 father's name was also John Farrell Snr and was a plumber on their marriage record. Not sure of birth details, I would be assuming 1840-50. His father again in turn was John Farrell who may well have been a plumber. Interesting. We also have Elizabeth passed down with John Jnr eldest daughter called Elizabeth.
