Frame family
« on: March 23, 2014, 07:53:58 PM »
Hello

Am doing a family tree for a friend who had relatives, the Frames, at 53 Gaffikin Street. This would be way back mid to late 1920s.

Would appreciate hearing from anyone who may have any information.

Thank you
VB

Hello

Some of this information I was able to access online but the rest is wonderful thank you.

Are there any records for Lily Frame ie marriage, children?  and also did George marry?

Did any of the family move out of Belfast?

Much appreciated.

I think george in the 1901 Irish census is living with the grant family and his married sister was born in Scotland but he is down as born Belfast, they were all living in Coolbeg Street

FYI  One of my relatives was married to a William (Billy) Frame.  He and his wife lived on the Crumlin Road near Holy Cross Church.  Don't know if that's the same family.  They did have children.

in case these help     In Griffiths valuation for 1860 see http://www.askaboutireland.ie   with no known relationship is just one Frame listed inside Belfast
William Frame  living in TOWNPARKS, Belfast
Where Barrack Lane intersects with a map ref 55
I think he is the grocer of 55 North Queen street

From www.lennonwylie.co.uk the Frames listed for 1880 in Belfast include
Frame, H., traveller, Ashley Avenue
Frame, James, carpenter, 54 Market Street
Frame, John, family grocer and provision merchant, Gosford Terrace, The Plains, ( See Advertisement)
Frame, Samuel, tailor, 10 Melbourne Street

The William (Billy) Frame I'm referring to worked in the Abattoir in Belfast for many years. Could it be the same family?
