Does anyone know what ever happened to the Pancake Shop that was in the wee arcade between Gresham Street and Royal Avenue?
I went to it for years with the kids every time i was in Belfast, it was family run and did great Fry-Ups but specialised in savoury Pancakes.
it was always packed, then a few months ago i turned up and it was gone!!!
Can't understand it, anyone know what happened or did it move???
Hi chris4647 & Welcome to the Forum.
The Pancake Cafe you are asking about was owned by 'Griffen's'
They used to have / operate, A N Other one in Fountain Street as well, in the premises which used to be the Bourn Bouche (?) Bakery.
And also a 'Home Bakery' on Broadway, Falls Road.
I think it was the 'Rates & Rent' which bate them out!
And yes! They did do the best 'Crepes', filled with whatever you fancied, in the whole of Ireland!
