SIXTY  THE JIG WAS IN COATES STREET NOT FAR FROM DIVIS STREET
 THE ONLY PEOPLE EVER WENT TO IT WERE TEENAGERS
FROM THE FALLS ,THE HILL BALLYMURPHY NEWLODGE PLACES LIKE THAT
JUSTS KIDS ENJOYING THEM SELVES
IT S ONLY REPUTATION I INEW ABOUT WAS IT HAD THE BEST JIVERS
IT HAD THE ODD   FIGHT BUT PLACES LIKE thePLAZA HAD MORE
IM GLAD YOU ENJOYED IT   I DID
STILL OPEN IN LATE 60S :-*
hi Margaret went to the jig for a few years loved it we all had a great time. :-*

Great times in the old ballrooms and dance halls The Plaza ,Orpheus ,Astor John Dossors  Tudor Hall (Royal Avenue ) Romanos  which may have been The Fiesta also The Jig Coates St  , The Dal Divis St and The Hibs  corner  of Clonard St  Also   went to the Plaza on our lunch break on weekdays  This was in the late 1950s early 60s  Wish I had some of that energy now
