Be part of a fun event in the heart of Belfast

• This event is open to men, women and children 13 years and over.
• We have introduced a special reduced rate of £10 for those aged 13-17 so there’s no excuse not to bring the family along.
• Dogs are welcome to join in and can be sponsored to walk too, provided they don’t mind loud music and being in a large gathering of people having fun.
• Wear PURPLE! This is the theme colour for the walk and it’s about everyone having a lot of fun whilst out for the night. Put on your fancy clothes and impress us in your favourite purple outfit. Hospice purple t-shirts provide the perfect accessory!
• Spot prizes for best dressed in Purple and for best zumba dancers!
• See Belfast’s best known landmarks including City Hall and Queen’s University at night on our 5 mile stroll which starts promptly at 11pm.
• Walkers can dedicate their walk in memory of someone special or just take part for fun.
• All walkers are encouraged to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship money.

Remember a loved one (Optional)

Our Midnight Walk allows participants to walk in memory of someone special.  Prior to the event, we will provide participants with a candle bag, which can be personalised and decorated as you wish.  You are then invited to bring your decorated candle bag with you on the night so that we can display it at the end of the walk.  As you return to Custom house Square, you will be greeted by a sea of flickering lights on the steps of Custom House Square, where you can reflect and remember your loved ones.

How to take part?

There is a registration fee of £20 per person (non refundable). £10 for those aged 13-17 years.  This includes a goody bag on the night, your candle bag, fundraising pack and also covers the cost of organising the event.  This ensures that every pound you raise in sponsorship will go straight towards helping Northern Ireland Hospice care services.

We ask all participants to aim to raise at least £100 in sponsorship money from friends, family and colleagues.

Many Thanks must go to our event sponsors:

Starbucks, Virgin Active, U105 and the Department of Social Development.
