Sorry I'm new to this forum and can't edit my replies yet, actually kitchener street still exists from Donegall road to gippys hill. (eats one of Bobby Grattins humble pies with a bottle of Lilly's beer.

Bobby Grattins potato pasties and plutos scrumptious

I was run over in Broadway Parade in May or June 1953, at the age of 6. You'll be pleased to know I survived.

As I posted earlier in this thread my grandparents lived in 69 Broadway Parade and I visited every Saturday or Sunday and sometimes slept over. Would have been late sixties or so.

I remember one Saturday night Sunday morning somebody outside serenaded the whole street. In between verses he offered anyone who was brave enough to come outside and shut him up. Didn’t do any harm to anyone unless of course that had to get up for work the next morning. 😀
