That Mountain
« on: November 10, 2014, 11:39:36 PM »

That mountain gets bigger everyday
I've never been much of a climber anyway
I look at that mountain and begin to cry
I hide each tear and question why
I had it all within my grasp
But let it slip and I slipped fast
The mountains top shines white with snow
In my dreams I often go
I look down to were I used to be
My little sons sat on my knee
In that dream I want to stay
Not be so quick to give away
The most perfect love I ever had
I called my boys, they called me dad
Now they're gone and the mountain still
Not long to go, I've lost the will
I climb that mountain everyday
The top seems so far away
Each broken soul for the mountain cries
Every day when good love dies.
