Hi Helena. .the scan shows the address in the 1960 Directory. .the surname does not show at the same address in the '69 edition.
Hope this helps.

How would I get an extract of this list for Central Street... I am looking for my family Fitzpatrick - 53 Central Street. William and Sarah daughter Evelyn Murphy and Husband Robert.  I have been looking on the forum for people who mention central street and have written to some..

Thank you for posting that for me I am very greatful - that is my family member at 53...William George Fitzpatrick. I see everyone else wasn't listed although I have letters showing they all lived in that one place.  I am hoping that someone here on this site knows where all family went.. I've all but given up I've spent about 10 years looking :(

If you are in Belfast try PRONI for more recent street directories. ...or Electoral Rolls.
Also try GRONI for (sorry to say) death dates where the address will be shown.

Good luck

Thank You Bread Basket for the Orby Drive pages, that helps me clear up a bit of a mystery.  O0
I used to be indecisive.   Now I'm not so sure.

Does proni charge for these things? I think I just registered with them at the suggestion of another member.  I have to buy credits to search for marriage, birth, death .. ?  I will take a look at the site now.  I definitely want to find Lilly and her husband James.. I wish this was easier but it's not.  I am going to go over the old letters with a fine tooth comb and see if I can get any hints.

William Fitzpatrick died in 1959 Aug - his wife my great grandmother died in 1960 but I have letters from this address from 1967 from Evelyn Murphy - it seems she was still there at 53 and others lived in dundonald.  I really have to decipher the letters as they are so old I can't make much of them and others are bad copies sent to me from my aunt.

Be careful.  The Online PRONI records are limited to 50 years for Deaths. .75 years for marriages....100 years for births.
Anything more recent than that cannot be accessed  . So don't be buying credits if your dates are outside these parameters

FYI I am in NYC and been doing this for about 10 years from here.  I am also a member of ancestry.  It's super frustrating.  Many place their treees on private and it's a waste of time.  I got most of the information from an old suitcase that was about to be disgarded.  My aunt took most of the letters and I got the pictures and the other bunch of papers.  I am tempted to try and post these letters - they talk about a flat in dundonald that one other member of the family lives and also talks about a new mill where they are working, a biscuit factory, and a place that looks like starmonk?  Another letter talks about a march by the shipyard.  Thanks once again.
