Gay space in Belfast- Oral History Interviews
« on: May 07, 2015, 11:46:09 AM »
My name is Rachel Wallace. I am a history PhD student at Queen's University Belfast. I am researching the history of gay space and identity in Belfast and Boston 1945-c.1985.

As part of this project I am looking to record oral history interviews with anyone who has experience of the Belfast gay scene before 1985. Participants do not have to be from Belfast but should have some experience of gay life in Belfast.

Participants will be asked to recall their memories relating to organisations/bars/bookshops/parks/social centres and the wider social history of Belfast in this period.
I would also be interested to hear from people who may not have been active (or out) on the gay social scene about their thoughts and impressions.

Interviews can be completely anonymous if you wish.

Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in participating in the project or have any questions regarding the project
