Well now I know where my daddy got his football enthusiasm from, although he was a Man U supporter through and through!! As a father of 3 girls, he had no one to pass that on to so I got the short straw and he passed his enthusiasm onto me :) (I am now a regular watcher of Utd matches)
As you probably know, my grandad passed away when Daddy was quite young so none of us were fortunate to meet him but I'm very glad to hear what a great character he was!

Does anyone know if Denis Donaldson, who was from Seaforde St (I believe), any relation of Robert Denis Donaldson from 62 Anderson Street, who was found guilty in 1940 of membership of the RIA and in possession of a rifle and a Mills bomb and so on? Or is it just coincidence? What was the name of the Seaforde St man's father and mother?

The top right four are John Bannon, George Crane, ----- Cooley, and Eddie Gowdy.
