great pics buffalo, well worth the wait, also helps fills in the blank spaces in the old memory, if i look hard enuf i can c myself playing football on the green lol, also rem SKF beside brit bar, sold bearings so we used 2 go in and ask 4 bearings 4 the front steering on guiders and of course pram wheel 4 the back, anyone rem that?

I would say the photo of the Strand is 1974.
jim b, if u look closely at quinn st the murals r painted on the gable wall, wat year was the first festival?  Rep 1 is spot on with the date of the strand bar bombing.

had 2 b, and there was me thinking it was 75!? with the winnng murals of micky and donald lol, must have been the same year  u and arter and jake run the brits out of the bus depot lol, rem when jake almost got his head blown off when a soldier let off a round from the post and it hit felix mckeatins wall rite beside where he was standing?

The photo of seaforde st is later than 1983. If Iremember rightly gerry gibney was owner of the shop at the time, after mary smith had  moved in due to local hudlums ransacked here premses in sheriff st [1984]

I always looked forward to the Mc Keating family feud every Sat night. The da and brothers giving each other a good hammering. Ah ! bring back the good oul days. Peggy Mc Creesh and Nellie Fegan scrapping, where has it all gone ?

Jim B I think you're right it was a mistype I had been told 1974 not 1984, well spotted!

It was Clyde St looking up to St Matts.

Matt stitt was a realy good friend of mine and I remember him talking about owening a shop in the late sixties.
I don't think it lasted very long. But I think the location was on the cornerr of beachfeild st and Bryson st.Teresa young worked for him people m
ay have had the impression that it was youngs but matt stitt owened the shop
The shop at nobles field in the early sixties was definatley owened by someone else at that time maybe later on the youngs may have been involved
