Arbuckle family

Does anyone have  knowledge  of the Arbuckle family who lived at 25 Mayfair st oldpark rd. Also would like to hear from ex pupils of the sacred heart , st columbans and st Gabriel's schools which I attended from early sixties onwards . Many thanks Jim Brennan .

jimjac, if you type "Oldpark Road" into the search box at the top of this page you will find a few Oldpark threads and very likely find out the info you want.

My older sisters had a friend
Margaret Arbuckle that lived
near Sacred heart. She and
her baby died in a house fire. :(

hi, just to say my dad who was Gerald Arbuckle. And his family live in Mayfair street. And yes my auntie Margaret did die in a fire along with her baby son. She also live a few doors down from 25 Mayfair street.
If any one has information about my dad family l would be most great fun. My dad did not really speak about his family a lot. I think l still have family in n.ireland, whom l would love to get in touch with. Many thank.

William Arbuckle married Mary McConnell in St. Matthews Belfast in December 1909, the marriage registration is at the following link: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1909/10032/5649329.pdf

The couple had a son James in 1910, a son William in 1912 (married Maria Pettigrew in Holy Cross Church Belfast in 1938), a daughter Mary in 1914, a son Thomas in 1916 (married Mary Hunter in Newington, London in 1936), a son John Frances in 1918, a son Leo in 1920, a son Patrick Joseph in 1922 (married Margaret Doran in Holy Cross Church Belfast in 1946), a son Gerald in 1925 (married Patricia Kelly in Holy Apostles Church London in 1948), and a daughter Veronica (married: (1) George Brennan in Sacred Heart Church Belfast in 1949; (2) David Treacy in St. Malachy's Church Downpatrick in 1990).
