COMEDY

Friends Offer: 2 for 1 on opening night (max 2 tickets)

From the team who brought you The History of the Troubles…Accordin’ to my Da comes the belting new comedy, The History of the Peace…Accordin’ to my Ma! A peaceful tale of bombings, guns, punishment beatings and riots. Lots of riots.

Meet Karen Reid, an East Belfast community worker trying to navigate her way through the uneasy peace; from the 1994 ceasefires and Good Friday Agreement to the Chuckle brothers and flag protests. Things get even more bizarre when she meets a darts-playing looper, Fireball, from ‘the other side’. While Karen fervently believes in a new Northern Ireland, some of her nearest and dearest aren’t so keen. She soon realises that sometimes to win peace, you must be a warrior.

Starring Alan McKee and Conor Gimes.

“Nobody can hurt me without my permission.”

Don't mistake my silence for ignorance, my calmness for acceptance, or my kindness  for weakness.
