The Another Fine Mess Tent will be hosting another fine meeting on Saturday, 7 May, at 7.30 pm, in the Maynard Sinclair Pavilion (Civil Service Sports Club) Upper Newtownards Road, Belfast.  We'll be screening more great Stan and Ollie classics, and a night of fun and laughter is guaranteed.  For more information please see our website www.laurelandhardy.club  All welcome.

Last ever footage of Stan & Ollie together.....1956

Stan didn't attend Ollie's funeral the following year on account of his own ill health, saying: Babe would understand. Ollie is hardly recognisable given his weight-loss following a massive stroke, but also due to going on a very stringent diet for the first time in his life. I regard both as comic geniuses and as terrific actors.

It is hard to know who was the driving force, though Stan ( the skinny one for the non-initiated, definitely had the more diverse and influential career ) however, I found Ollie funnier. My missus disagrees. She thought Stan was funnier. It's hardly important since they were a terrific comedy double act, the best ever imo.
