If Orior hasn't already seen this, he should for I believe I recall him saying that he'd even watch grass growing if it were a sport
Ah well, grass is green, so that might be sufficient to start a ruck in Ulster.
Some sports in Ireland are already politicised, perhaps that's not unique to Ireland, but offhand I can't think of any other country in which that happens,... but of course the Irish are often so unique and in so many ways.
Even G.K. Chesterton got it at least partly wrong when he said...
"
The great Gaels of Ireland are the men that God made mad, For all their wars are merry, and all their songs are sad "
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgtSQo2pZLoI don't know who that Boston Irish American former leatherneck is, but he's my kind of preferred Mick,... and a good man to be with in a combat trench I suspect.
"ProudPlasticPaddy... Description... The Plastic is just a city kid showing his pride in his Irish heritage, his hometown of South Boston and his brotherhood as a United States Marine. He does crazy ( erm, stuff, (my word), he used another word, but it got censored (my note)
)
he thinks will get a laugh and he's always up for suggestions of any kind."
