mageeka, do you remember a boxer from the markets named Harry Rea ? He went to England and turned pro changed his name to Ray Henry, is it true he had only 2 pro fights ?

Harry only had a handful of fights, Boxrec only has two of his fights recorded, one in Larne and one in Brighton. If I remember right he had five pro fights. His brother, Willie Rea, turned pro in 1966 and fought some top fighters, including a win over Al White at the NSC. White had been awarded a Boxer of the Year trophy shortly before the fight with Willie.

hi road hog,knew Harry Rea well when I lived at
the market, we were just kids but were good friends. :) :)

Not a great picture of Harry..it's from an old copy of Boxing News. Harry was a good looking guy...this picture doesn't do him justice.
