Is that what See#2 meant?
Al meant... see message post
number 2 on this message thread, which is on the first page of the messages on this message thread.
This symbol
# is called a hash symbol, it's used for various purposes on computers, and especially on social media sites, and in a similar way to which this symbol,
@ which is called the
at symbol is also often used on various social media sites, such as twitter and Facebook for example.
In the context in which Al was using the
# symbol, it meant
number, because in America that is the common symbol that has always been used to as an abbreviation to represent the word
number, although nowadays because of it's use with computers, it's also commonly getting used for that purpose in other countries as well.
So Al's use of the term "
See #1" meant... see
reply message number 1, on this message thread, which is actually message number 2 on the thread, because the first message is message number 1, and the following reply messages are message numbers 2... 3... 4... 5... etcetera.
Anyway, the quoted message below is the message that Al was referring to.
I got one about three years ago from a stall beside TK Maxx in the city centre . The stall was actually closed but there was a contact number which I rang and I had the street sign I wanted within about five days delivered to my house by the man who made it, it was £60 if I remember correctly.
I don't know if the stall is still there , perhaps you could take a look or another forum member might know.
The black and white tiles weren't actually ceramic on the replica but I doubt anyone would know the difference.
I think that the branch of
TK Maxx that Al was probably referring to would be the one in
Donegall Arcade, in Castle Place, near the corner of it's junction with
Lombard Street and
Cornmarket and
High Street. This is the map, just roll your mouse wheel forward to zoom in on that.
