Are you sure it's not Crumlin Street old Ardoyne as my great grandmother lived there and I also know the Travers family?

A very good friend of mine, Mary Gillespie, lived in Crumlin St. near the corner liquor store also Margaret Miskimmens, spelling could be wrong, who worked in the Beltex, and the Meehans who were related to Gerry and Molly Meehan of Duneden Park. Anyone remember these Crumlin St. people?

Hi Eileen mac I see you are spreading your McKillen family tree to include McLoughlins etc on a new topic, but I’m sticking to your original request to help build your McKillen family tree first.

McKillen, D., bread server, 67 Lindsay Street
McKillen, N., joiner, 18 Avonbeg Street
McKillen, Wm., bakery, 20 Castlereagh Road

1918 didn’t find any McKillen in Crumlin road or Street
1912 didn’t find any McKillen in Crumlin road or Street
1918 didn’t find any McKillen in Crumlin road or Street, but it does a alpha list

1924
9 Hagens, Eliza
19. Travers, Patrick
8. Murphy, John, labourer
40. McKillen, Robt., labourer

1932 Crumlin Street off Flax Street
19. Travers, Patrick

Hi Eileen mac,

Part2
I found while searching in Scotland census 1891 for Nuneaton Street Bridgeton Glasgow a Neil Mckillen b 1856 Ireland a labourer living with his wife Eileen b 1854 Ireland a warper with a nephew Robert McKillen b 1875 Ireland, a cloth Happer keep this note in case my speculations follow through and apologies if its all a red herring

I got nowhere until I checked Daniels birth 1904 and found its 1906.see https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/civil-perform-search.jsp?namefm=Daniel&namel=mckillen&location=Belfast&yyfrom=1904&yyto=&type=B&submit=Search
Birth of DANIEL MC KILLEN on 26 September 1906.Group Registration ID372551. SR District/Reg Area Belfast. SexMale. Mother's Birth Surname MC GUINESS

so the top of your family tree  has grown a generation providing the speculation exists
a Mr McKillen m a Miss McGuiness [possibles:-

{A} a Mary Jane M’Guiness b oct-dec 1889 Belfast, a Mary Jane M’Guiness m Jan-Mar 1891 spouse unknown see familysearch;in 1911census there is no married Mary Jane listed

{B}a Martha M’Guiness m Jan-Mar 1906 belfast spouse unknown see familysearch
In the 1911 census the only married Mrs Martha McKillen in Ireland is
living with family at 42 in Collinward (Carnmoney, Antrim) this might just make sense.

from   www.ancetryireland.com births showing father
DANIEL   MCKILLEN   1889   father NEIL    Antrim

So my speculation tree for Daniel using the 1911 irish census is:-
1. Neil McKillen[b~1885-6]   26   Male   Head of Family   Roman Catholic   b Glasgow   General Labourer   Cannot read or write   -   m {1906}Martha Jane McKillen [b~1885-6]   26   Female   Wife   Roman Catholic   b Londonderry   -   Read and write   -   Married   -   6   2   2
children at 1911
1.1.  Daniel McKillen   b~1906-7   4   Male   Son   Roman Catholic   Antrim   Infant   Cannot read or write   -   Singl
1.2.  Lizzie McKillen   b~1908-9   2   Female   Daughter   Roman Catholic   Antrim   Infant   Cannot read or write   -   Single
so I thinking the above could be your Daniel McKillen ancestor

Daniel and Martha Jane's  children
1.1.   Daniel McKillen b 26 Sept 1904 m where and when before 1939?  Mary Cathrine nee Murphy b 4 May 1904 Where did you get dates from please. residences
8 Crumlin st  granddad lived in 40 Crumlin rd before he married Mary
residences
8 Crumlin St
40 Crumlin Rd  for Daniel d before marriage r
5 children
1.1.1.  Rosetta McKillen[b.date needed] your mother who emigrated was she b ? Jan-Mar 1921 Belfast

1.1.2.  Eileen McKillen [b.date needed]  possibly m Bert McGonigle who went to USA
1.1.3  Daniel McKillen [b.date needed]
1.1.4. John McKillen  [b.date needed]
1.1.5. Mary[b.date needed]
I dont like to include the living so will stop here

its your tree with speculation So what do you think at this stage please do continue Can you add any more detail, facts corrections . Di you know of any burials at millfield cemetery belfast  Good luck onwards JimG.
