Hello i am a member of a group called the Gort na Mona historical society.Would anybody have photos of St Thomas school.we are also looking for school photos of Jim Bryson and Patrick Mulvenna.Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hey rocky1.Hows it going mate.Yeah i rem harry.Didnt have much contact tho cos as u know we all had our little clicks.Always hung out around St Toms n the graveyard getting [censored] n all that.lol.Good old days eh.Aint lived in belfast 4 bout 20 years now.Still miss it like hell tho.Still crave for it.Would love to come home but all my family is gone now.Been back a few times over the years n its always forever changeing.New familys comming to the murph from outside.Just not the same anymore.Its lost that community feeling i think.Back doors n front doors are closed n locked.Sad tho.I found me bro again but still cant contact me sis.Last i heard she was in turf lodge somewhere.Her name is donna copeland n she orig from ardoyne so if u here anything i would b greatfull.Hope to here from u soom mate.Take care.Pat

Couldnt agree more with everyone about 'big al'. He beat my cousin's head off a sink in the woodwork room. Unfortunately the school was wide open at the back at this time so my uncle was able to just dander in and gob him. He summed up the place though. Hateful place. Remember the kicking you got on your first day? And that was from your mates who were already at the school. Everyone seems to agree though on who the bad apples were. O' Loan died during the summer so the kids couldnt get off for his funeral.

Boxcar i see you mentioned the name Doyle, My mum is Doyle to her maiden name and i had rellies from the whiterock and glenalina.

Hi Colette, I think his name was Tom, he went towards the murph, I went the other way to the whiterock
