In 1924 the head of household at 162 Urney Street was William Black... a labourer.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

William Black passed on 22 January 1947 aged 77, so born circa 1870, last address 162 Urney Street.

This is his burial record,...

Also in that grave is,...

Sarah Jane Black, same address, who passed on 14 July 1947, aged 65, so born circa 1882.

William J. Ireland
, who passed on 8 July 1970, aged 62, so born circa 1908,... last address 44 Glenbryn Parade,... possibly a brother in law of William Black. ?

He was also a labourer,...     https://www.lennonwylie.co.uk/gcomplete1960.htm

To find out any more about the birth of your grandfather Robert Black in 1921 you'll probably have to apply for a copy  of his birth certificate, which will give you his mother's maiden surname.

Hi, just saw your post, William Black and sarah Jane Black are my grandparents !!!!
They are my mother's parents ( Margaret Elizabeth)  Sadly my mother passed away some years ago, wished I'd asked her more !
I have some info on Sarah Jane although you may already have it.  Let me know and I'll help if I can.

James James and UrneyGirl, William Ireland was married to Sarah (Sally) Black, who is the child of William and Sarah Jane Black. I'm a little confused to the exact movements of the Black family. So unsure how William (Billy) ended up buried with his parents in law.

I'm afraid the trail has gone cold regarding Sarah Jane Black and William Black before Urney Street. We have a little about Sarah but nothing about William.

Sorry I can't be of any help, I was in Canada when uncle Billy and aunt Sally passed away. Hopefully you will get the info you're looking for.
