Just glanced at this list and imagine that some families whom I knew much later must have lived here or elsewhere in the area [or their parents / grandparents lived in Anderson Street]. Interesting also that 'labourer' characterises the work of the vast majority of men. Exceptions are - marine store: iron moulder; carter; spirit grocer; sailor: coal dealer; tinsmith and painter. That is 8 'trades' of some sort versus 37 or 38 labourers + women who are merely named with nothing by way of work attributed to them. Interesting social history snapshot.
