M.V. `Gowanbank` built by Harland & Wolff, Belfast for the Bank Line in 1968. She was the last `bridge amidships` cargo vessel built in the UK, and the last cargo vessel built by Harland & Wolff, for this company. Harland's had built almost 100 ships for the Bank Line.

A ULCC (Ultra Large Crude Carrier) being built for Shell Tankers at Harland & Wolff, Belfast in the 1970`s.

The magnificent RMS `Andes` under refit at Harland & Wolff, Belfast. Beside her is a Union Castle Liner also under refit.

Thanks for the photos and the memories. I worked on the Canberra, and the Southern Cross ( affectionately called Suffering cross in the yard).
