I can't find any listing of a Smith St. but there is a Ruth St. located near Edlingham St. which is off Duncairn Gardens in the North of the City.

Hiya Mageeka,

Smith Street is mentioned in the 1852 Directory of Belfast and Province of Ulster.
It was a short street off Lagan Street.
Ancestors of 3rd Generation American friends .. what were the names?

The people in Smith Street in 1852 were
1. John Harrison, labourer
    Samuel McGibbon, night constable
    Thomas Cummins, foundryman
                                                Crawford Street
Rear of Mr Staunton's paper staining manufactory
8. Thomas Rooney, labourer
Hughes's Entry
6. Mrs McClean, dealer
4. Wm. Miller, stone cutter
2. John Stapley, print colourer
    John Smith, tailor

That's OK Mageeka, I thought you might ask about Lagan Street.
It ran off Cromac Street. Market Street crossed over Lagan Street
Lagan Street was on the even number side of the street as was Eliza Street

All the Best, Christopher
