Monarch Laundry/Four Square Laundry
« on: November 07, 2018, 11:09:54 AM »
Hi
I am an artist/filmmaker based in Liverpool and I am currently researching the Four Square Laundry operation which was an MRF/British Army undercover operation in 1972.
I am trying to get in touch with anyone who worked at the Monarch Laundry at Donegall Road in 1972.
For the film work I am trying to get an idea of what the inside of the laundry was like and what machines were used.
Cheers
Paul

Welcome to the Forum Paul.
I would suggest you post on the Belfast History and Memories Thread.
Someone there may be able to help you.

jilly :)

Hi everyone,
I remember something vaguely about there was a man and woman
delivering laundry to some estate, could have been Twinbrook.
                    who where shot.

Came out later the army was involved with undercover work.
Just canít put a date on when.

                                Billy.

I don't think that the Monarch laundry was involved.  The Four Square laundry was a ficticious company and was used for undercover operations.  The main concern , was I think, that a genuine company used the name of 4 Square Catering and they were worried for the sake of their employees. :)
I'm patient with stupidity but not with those who are proud of it ...
