New BBC Documentary The Troubles
« on: February 27, 2019, 04:18:56 PM »
Hello,
Blink Films are producing a new BBC history series called The Search, which will focus on the personal stories of ordinary people who were involved in major events in modern history.

Each programme will follow two individuals on a detective journey as they look for a long-lost colleague, friend, family member or significant stranger who helped them through this time or had a lasting impact on their lives. The aim of our programme is to highlight moments of human kindness and resilience in some of modern history’s most difficult events.
Our first episode will feature stories of individuals whose lives have been shaped and changed by war and conflict - in particular we are researching the conflict in Northern Ireland and we are looking for stories of ordinary people who experienced these events first-hand. We are inviting people to come forward with possible searches for individuals they have lost touch with as a direct result of or after The Troubles and are interested in reconnecting.

Did you lose touch with friends or neighbours because of The Troubles?
Did you or your family have to evacuate or relocate to escape the violence?
Did someone help you or your family during this challenging time and you’d like to thank them?

If anyone would like to find out more about our documentary with no obligation to be involved. Please do get in touch at: thesearch [@] blinkfilmsuk [.] com
Thank you for your time,
Rosie.
