How to get a birth certificate please?
« on: March 23, 2019, 12:53:17 PM »
This would be for someone born around 1930 - so less than 100 years ago and for whom I only have an approximate date of birth.
I have been searching for advice on the internet as I am in England and understand that searched can be done in person at GRONI in Belfast. Can anyone advise me regarding paid research or help with how I could get this certificate please?
Thank you

The birth records post 1919 are not accessible on-line. They are held by GRONI in Belfast. You can ring them up and ask them to search for the record. (There may be a fee to pay). Or you can go into GRONI or PRONI (both in Belfast) and search there yourself.Contact details for ringing or e-mailing GRONI:https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/contacts/contacts-az/general-reg...
