Thinking about my granny' and Granddads  house mckillens 8 Crumlin st  mrs travis in 19 best friends with my Granny
I was born in 1954 and lived with granny mckillen  (murphy) mum was Rosetta mckillen  dad Cahal McLaughlin 
Beautiful  memories  happy times
Little shop on the corner of flax st and crumlin st we would buy a thrupenny bap

My great granny Bridget Hagans was the daughter of James and Catherine Travers they lived in Glenpark Street they had a son Patrick Travers.im almost sure he lived in Crumlin Street.

In the fifties and early sixties Crumlin St was known locally as 'The floating dock' every time it rained heavily the street was badly flooded.....something to do with the Rosehead river flowing underneath it.
