Sloan family of forth river gardens.

Any info on the children of William and Ellen Sloan.
William B.1898, Sarah Elenor B.1901, Fred B.1903, Samuel B.1905, and Vera B 1911.

Probate file might contain some info on next of kin (though he did die intestate). File should be in PRONI.
 
Sloan William Thomas of 286 Springfield Road Belfast compositor died 6 October 1932 Administration Belfast 13 January to Ellen Montgomery Sloan the widow. Effects £351 18s. 10d.

Thats interesting Elwyn, I had his wife as, nee-ellen mccormack( mccormick), did,nt know about a montgomery connection.

Elwyn is correct, Ellen was born 12th Jan 1875, and Christened "Ellen Montgomery" McCormick.

thanks Sam. the name Montgomery is intriguing,just because we have strong connections, but not from that branch of the family. wonder where that fits in ?

I would really like to find out more facts about their children,ie, marriages ,deaths etc.

     If you go to the GRONI site you can search for likely marriages in Northern Ireland up to 1944. Itís £2.50 a time to view them to see if itís the right family. Of course it assumes they stayed here. If they moved across to Britain or elsewhere, and then married there, it will be very hard to trace them without some clues as to their whereabouts.
