Hi my name is Joan Sharon Haire / Fallon / Sparks born in Belfast on the 01.07.1956 and I am now living in Australia (since 1960).

I am trying to find any info related to my Grandparents

My Dad's name was James Orr Haire (Born 1920 Belfast Died 1991 Australia) His Father was James Haire (1876?) Mother Sarah Orr (!896?).

They lived at 37 Moorfield Street in 1920 (as per Dads Certified Copy of his Birth Certificate)

On the 1901 Census Grandfather James lived with Andrew & Margereat Richardson at 26 Lortoy Street Woodvale Ward Antrim and with the same family in the 1911 Census at 65 Brookmount Street Woodvale Ward Antrim.

On the 1901 Census James is listed as not married and is a brother in law and a Yarn Storeman and in the 1911 Census he is still not married, is listed as a relation and is now a winding master in the linen trade.

I believe that Margaret Haire and Andrew Richardson Married on the 26th August 1894 at the Saint Annes Church of Ireland Parish Shankill Civil District Belfast County Antrim (not certified) and that it is a possibility that James Haire and Sarah Orr married on the 4th June 1911 in the same church (have sent for a marriage certificate but not certified)

That is all I know - would be so grateful is someone can help me out.

You can view the 1911 marriage registration below, the groom is shown as a 28 year old Weighing Master living at 65 Brookmount Street, the son of James Haire, a shoe maker:

The 1894 Richardson-Haire marriage shows the bride's father as James Haire, a shoe maker:

James Haire senior (the shoe maker) died in 1898:

This looks like his widow Mary Thornton, two daughters and a Richardson grandchild in 1901:

In the registration of the marriage that took place on 4 June 1911 between James Haire and Sarah Orr, the bride's address was given as 35 Cherryville Street, that reads across to the following census return from a couple of months earlier:

Same family in 1901:

Sarah Anne Orr was born in 1889 to Joseph Orr and Bessie Ann Cooke of Tassagh:

Joseph Orr and Bessie Cooke got married in Tassagh Presbyterian Church in 1879, fathers given as Robert Orr and George Cooke, flax dressers:

The following 1879 death registration has to be a possible candidate for James' father Andrew Hare:
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1879/06500/4871578.pdf

And possibly Andrew's wife:
https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1905/05605/4575863.pdf

And possibly the family in 1901:

Oh My Goodness - I am overwhelmed with these replies - this morning I didn't even know my Grandparents full names and now here I sit with tears running down my face. Thank you so much CMcG and Belfast Forums - with your help I am discovering so much about my ancestors. My parents were only children so you don't know what this means to me. I just can't thank you enough. I will refer back to this topic with love in my heart until I can digest all these wonderful leads. I have family I can now call my own. My heart is full. There are some wonderful people that give of themselves to help others - CMcG - you are one of them  :)
