Unfortunately I have written to Olympia Business Systems/ Heinz Prygoda however they insist they are not related to Olympia Business Machines. Thanks for your help anyway.

Hi
My wife and I both worked at Olympia before we married.   I'm John Sweeney and Pat was Pat Watters whose dad also worked there before he died.  The day I started at Olympia, I was put on a plane out to Germany to help with the training and German translations.I remember a lot of the names already mentioned and had some great times over in Leer Ostfriesland, where the German factory was based.  Some of those who went to Leer will most likely remember the Oberledinger Hof, a bar where most of us drank and danced with the locals (who didn't like us much).  I went to Germany with the 2nd lot of trainees and we stayed in the Europa Hotel in Leer.  I will try to remember some more names and post later.  I may even have some photos.
