Anybody remember John Reilly from sailortown. John was a brickie, and he married a girl from Elizabeth St in the Falls called, Marie Sloan.  There was a big family of the Sloans.   Great  people, every one of them.  Marie done a bit of singing, and was very good at it.
If you don't do it you won't get caught.

Hi Big Lad,

Send a message to www.sailortownbelfast.org That's the Sailortown Cultural & Historical Society. They may have information about families from the area.

it was an olympic jump from ship to water and there were 2 brothers to be rescued but martin held them up for at least 20 minutes until a small harbour boat arrived.men on ship could  do nothing ,no life belts or evev ropes on that old bucket..
