Photo verification - somewhere in Ni
« on: August 21, 2020, 04:34:48 PM »
Hi all,
Hoping someone can help me.  Can anyone tell me where this bridge is, I'm told it is somewhere in Northern Ireland, but not sure where?

Spot on bill35 , Carlisle Road Presbyterian Church in the background with Dacre Terrace to the left of it .
The spire behind Dacre Terrace is St Columbs Church of Ireland Cathedral .

Wow that's brilliant, thanks for sharing.  Think I'll drive up there and get a 'then and now' shot for comparison!

You might not get exactly the same perspective. The buildings on the left and in the middle appear to be unchanged, but the building on the right, which obscured the Presbyterian church on the original photo, appears to have been partially demolished and then renovated. The partial demolition is suggested by the two obvious buttresses on the exposed gable.

A Derry City native might be able to confirm if this is so.
