This might make a few of our overseas posters homesick, but the championship starts again this weekend:

Tyrone v Donegal
Derry v Armagh

I shall be watching with interest.

Have you ever watched the international series between Australia and Ireland where both teams play to each others rules GAA and AFL?

There have been a number of GAA players who have gone to Australia to play Australian Rules, the most famous would have been Jim Stynes.

Yes indeed, and my county has been well represented on the Ireland team. I'm not sure of the future of the series, particularly as it is amateurs against professionals. As Mickey Harte suggested, I would like to see a world club championship.

I'm not an AFL fan but knew of Jim and his achievements, was very sad he was taken too soon.

So it is Donegal v Armagh in the semi-final.

Next weekend it's Cavan v Antrim and Down v Fermanagh.

And bye bye Monaghan, Derry and Tyrone :-)
