I've no idea what a heavy pint is - do you mean stout? Under the current rules, there are no wet pubs open. Only pubs that serve food with alcohol are open.

Orior,a pint of Belhaven heavy is a an ale with a creamy head, drank quite a few when I was in Glasgow last year, when I asked why it was called heavy the barman said because they are heavy drinkers

In Glasgow if you ask for heavy you get a dark coloured beer as opposed to lighter lager. Why this is I have no idea  ???

It's very strong.
I always thought it was called 'Heavy', because it was strong, got you very drunk very quick and left a hell of a hangover.
I drank a Dark Ale likes this in London.
I think it was called VOSB.
Same affect.

Allymac it's because of the malted barley used in the brewing, darker than IPA,best in a straight glass.
