By using this Forum you agree to the following terms:• No hostility. All discussions must be friendly and civil.• No posts or pm's attacking other members. Teasing or jesting between forum friends is fine, but it must be in an obviously friendly manner with a smiley to make it clear you are joking. If it is clearly hostile or between people who clearly dislike each other then it will be considered an attack. If someone complains about being teased then both sides must stop immediately.• No sectarianism. This means not posting anything that praises or criticises any prominent group (or person) on either side of the sectarian divide.• No threats of physical violence. • No inflammatory posts. No controversial, offensive or otherwise disruptive posts which are likely to provoke others into a hostile argument.• No racism.• No lying.• No posts of an 'adult' nature.• No swearing. Don't 'hide' swearing by replacing certain letters with others or inserting spaces.• No spamming. Do not post or send unsolicited pm's advertising something or promoting another website without the permission of the administrator.• No defamatory posts.• No copyrighted material. Do not post or upload any material protected by copyright without the permission of the owner of the copyright. You shall be solely liable for any damage resulting from any such infringement of copyright.• No more than one membership per person. Do not register or use more than one username per user. People from the same household sharing the same internet connection will need to disclose their relationship to the forum.• No proxies. Your IP address must belong to your Internet Service Provider.• No mod-bashing. Do not question, mock, criticise or complain about moderators or their decisions on the boards. The moderators will happily discuss individual decisions at length by PM only and if there has been misunderstanding then posts can be undeleted and restored to the forum. • Do not publish any personal information about another member (eg real name, address, email address) unless they have stated they are happy for it to be posted. Please respect the privacy of other members. Do not publish an email or pm that someone has sent you privately.Posts that break the above rules will be deleted. For blatant or persistent offences a number of warnings will be given before issuing a ban. The number of warnings issued will depend on the seriousness of the incident(s) as deemed by the moderators. In some cases no warnings may be issued at all before banning.The moderators reserve the right to delete any content they regard as inappropriate. When posts are deleted an explanation may or may not be given depending on how obvious the problem is. If you notice one of your posts has been deleted and do not know why, please pm the moderators for an explanation.The staff or the owners of this forum do not continually monitor the posted messages, and as such, are not responsible for the content contained within. I for one, have already read Chris's , '' Rules of the Forum " ::)

 But, no matter what one posts , you can rest assured that someone will claim , that they have been offended ; that unfortunately, is Human

Nature, aided and abetted by the Modern Phenomenon called   " Political Correctness " .

Some People have even been offended by some jokes , in the Joke Section    :D , but also very  :(

Has someone offended BB ? I wouldn't dream of offending anyone intentionally but if I do so inadvertently, tough.😊
Over zealous moderation is probably more of a factor in some cases where members decide to pack it in. 😕.   .   .   .   .err, no offence.😆

 I have spoken to various people on different Forums ; and they all say that the number of Posters have noticeably decreased, lately.

 Strong opinions /contradictions / lies / fabrications / accusations ; relating to the  Year's World -wide Problems / Solutions ( for and against ) ;

 I surmise, are just  tooo much for their  personal " Bubble "    ::)

''Please do not offend in your posts/ threads. The Forum is suffering.''Agree Bread Basket, the forum is suffering, due not only to some of the points you raised above but also the  disappearance of long established valued members who have given up and left and too few precious regulars trying to keep the momentum going. Whether it's a consequence of covid and it's effects on morale in general ie apathy or repetitive subjects being aired frequently I don't know, not forgetting the usual sectarianism tosh that ruins a perfectly decent thread. If folk don't converse and exchange views on a more regular basis it may be a case of use it or loose it. Just my take on the matter.  :)

Bloomfield I have been a member since 2010approx I have been on moderation for about 3 years or more now as when I post a reply it takes about 2-3 days before the moderator posts my reply and my reply has lost its impact by then I was greatly into the SMYAISYM Thread where the posters posted their poems paintings and anything else they have done themselves it was a very popular thread

Good post Marian.  I love a good debate and we should be having enlightening rational exchanges of opinions on this forum about the two great issues of our time - Covid19 and Brexit. We have loads of intelligent posters out there - I would like to read their views

I can only assume that our good posters are reluctant to start threads on either of these topics because of the usual predictable responses - Brexit would be hijacked by the usual two or three sectarian posters and Covid19 would be rubbished by our one or two anti-vaxxers accompanied by the usual inexorable blizzard of links.
No answer is an answer.

Do you not think covid gets enough coverage through the media?I,for one,am sick sore and tired of listening about it on every news programme or reading about it in every newspaper.None of us can make a  difference to what happens(apart from respecting the safety rules) If people wish to discuss it on here that's fine,but don't expect others to stop posting on other subjects they are interested in.

Agree allymac that's why when the same two/three topics which have reached saturation point in the media are then constantly rehashed here regardless of subject, I personally switch off and go elsewhere. The other problem I feel is that there are not enough other members posting. :)
