Harry Coogan of Lepper Street
« on: January 11, 2021, 10:38:17 PM »
I am currently working on a paper about crimes committed by US soldiers during World War II and am looking for a picture of Harry Coogan who was brutally murdered on East Street.I hope there is a family member on here who may be able to help as i feel that most of the victims of these crimes appear just as names to people now and I feel putting a picture to my work reminds people that they were real people with families.I would appreciate any help you could give.Thank you

Apparently Mr Coogan was Into crime, such as pimping and was no angel.I heard the story of his murder years ago from an uncle of mine. His killer was a coloured American soldier who was hanged for his crime.Sorry but no photos.
