Census of Belfast 1924 Carlisle Street
« on: February 16, 2021, 08:46:47 AM »
I wonder if this Census for 1924 is available on BF...my mother before she was married, lived at No 32 Carlisle Street and gave this address on her Marriage Certificate.  She may have been lodging in Rooms here, not sure if she rented or not. This Street was bombed during WW2 and was rebuilt as a new estate.  Any ideas? I would be most grateful. Gerry in Coventry.  :)

According to the Street Directory, a George Turner lived in no. 32 Carlisle Street in 1924.
The Street Directory does not list all persons living at the address.

Thanx for this info.  My mother was from Newry Co Down and had come to Belfast to work, so she must have had rooms here, I know she moved to Ardoyne after she was married but with the WW2 Blitz moved about a bit.  Thanx again.  Cheers Gerry in Coventry.

Hello Gerry,
There isn't any 1924 census that has been released yet.  The last one was 1911 so later this year we are expecting the release of 1921 census. :)
