I am exceedingly grateful to you for all these press cuttings!
They help flesh out my understanding of what it entailed to run the Home.
One of them helps me date the start of my GGF's work as manager of the Home (later than May 1891).
What database did you use to find these cuttings so quickly? I have always been promising myself to take out a subscription to one such database and check all the main people and places in my family history. For instance, my other GGF Patrick O'Rourke was a member of the RIC and so seriously injured in riots in Belfast in mid-1898 that he was pensioned off in 1900. I found several mentions of him in the RIC in-house "Constabulary Gazette" but I am sure I could find more in the general press.
With my renewed thanks!
