Belfast Charitable Institution

Hello All

I've found that a family member died in 1877, Belfast Charitable Institution, aged 11.

Her Father died in 1871 and at the time of his death he was a widower.

Do you think there would be records available to see if there were any more siblings placed in Belfast Charitable Institution? I am assuming it was an orphanage/poor house?

Each to their own. Not my circus, not my monkies.

Belfast Charitable Society still exists. Often known as Clifton House:

Separate to Belfast Workhouse on the Lisburn Rd though with some similar aims.

Hi Elwyn

thank you so much for your reply and the link. I'll have a good look at that.
