Anyone know these guys.    Probatly 1st com. at Penang early 60s.

Great photo Moorsy, looking good in smart casuals. You don't get that much at all now, I have even seen Jeans in the Mess, those guys would have been hung drawn and quartered for that.

Sorry guys, I used to know their names,but memory is gone, My best bud Tommy Robinson is third from the right.Retired as C.S.M. and is now in Windsor,England.

Sorry Winnipeg..Canada...Is it still cold.

It was 30c here today and will hang around 30c for a while.

Hi,S.J.. Yeah its still cool,on the prairies we go from 0 to 20c in about 2-3 weeks.Summers are hot and dry. Not long up 8:20am here.  Forgot to mension that most of the guys in photo were from Belfast or near by.

Another thing,in the 60s when on leave the place to meet was upstairs in the Capstan Bar on Ann st. Lot of regimental stuff on the walls.

Harry, he would probatly know tommy robinson,he did his 30. would have finished around 87-88.

Dug this up Moorsy;
Infantry Units:
1st Bn Scots Guards (with 9 Company, Irish Guards under command - 9 Company also included a platoon made up of Coldstream Guards). From UK. Based Terendak, Malaya. Borneo tours Jan-April 65, Sep-Dec 65. Returned to UK 1966.

Hi Hendy, this company was with the Gurkhas,in the Cameron Highlands area,as far as I know, but you could be right.
