Les, re top of Church Road-my mother knew only one of the residents near Purdy's Lane. .a Miss Hilda Brittain who worked in Lyon's newsagents on the Ormeau Road near to the Ormo Bakery. But she will make enquiries to her neighbour who was 'reared' on Church Road.

Les,only Church Road info is Irene Hawkins now called Dean and living on Breda Road these days.
Harry Cowzer who owned Cowzers Chemists lived further down Church Road and had two lovely daughters -Susan and Joan.Harry was fond of his Alfa Romeos and Jags.

I've just had an ASDA Onion Bajii, bought for 14 pence.  Quite satisfactory, spicy hot and filling.  A good value snack.

Perhaps the antiseptic in the lager will kill off any nasties!  They were freshly made, not packaged.  I don't usually buy past-dated stuff.

My condolences to your wife on her impending night of miasmas and objectionable aromas.
