Hi St Anthony, yep its boys and girls my father was born 1934 but there were 3 born before that and 6 after, My dad was jim (james mullan 19 coates street) older brother is Sean (john) sisters bridget margaret ethna eilish and Martha Patrick Marie.

yes the names and faces are beginning to match..
 harry Skillen..moved to norglen gardens he moved but his brothers are still there
..Frances Torbitt ..he move to monagh road I'm not sure but i think he's still there
 patrick Savage they moved to the turf  but they moved again don't  know were
..as for the rest of the lads Vernon..Burns..i don't know were they went..
 as for Gerard Conway..there is  A   G Conway about my age mid 50's married a cousin of mine
Geraldine Tumelty they also came from the hill  my father sister Martha Tumelty ..
my god I've been walking pass these lads not knowing them but that will change..

Ourjoe, Geraldine is my sister in law.  Gerard is from Millfield beside the school.

I've talk to Gerard a few times not knowing who me was ..they live in monagh drive at the back of the shops

i see your post about the Kearney's
Marion..Emma..Alice..are the daughter's of sally Kearney r.i.p
Marion...Kearney now a mac Alister..Emma Kearney  now a Bradley live in the turf..
Alice Kearney  now a Irwin Love's in england

Emma lived with her aunt Queenie in Carrickhil place because there's no room in her mums house...

teap, I found a John Mullan Jan 1941 No. 910 on register Some of his classmates were Christy Hackett, Sam McCormick, Noel McLaughlin, Leo Madden,and Pat Johnston.

ollie, Patrick Rooney No. 922 on register born 25/3/34 He was 8yrs 10mth in this class July 1943.  Classmates were James Dougal, Hugh Gowdy, Charles Irvine, John Maxwell, Eddy Craig, Geordie English, John Largey, and Andrew mullan.  There were 31 in the Class.

Bernard Rooney, No. 62 on register. Born 28/1/36  He was 7yrs 7mth in this class July 1943.  Classmates included my uncle Jimmy Conway, Patrick Flanagan, willie Kane, Patrick Burns, Patrick brady,Alfred (al) Austin.  Big Al was buried about 2-3 weeks ago.

Michael Rooney, No. 122 on register. There is no D.O.B. he was 9yrs 8mth in this class July 1947. classmates were Seamus McKeating, Owen McMahon, William Begley, John McKiernan, Jimmy Downey, John McGuinness, Paddy Clarke, Eddie Irvine and Peter Lavery.

Jim Rooney, No. 249 on register.  Born 28/10/40  2nd standard (p2) Aug 1948.  Classmates included my uncle Paddy Conway, Brian Largey, Lennie McCrory, Michael Flanagan and Anthony Brown.

Teap This John mullan was 8yrs 9mths in January 1941 There is no D.O.B.

Teap, I've trawled through dozens of registers from 1940 -1969 and I only come across the 2 Mullans, John and Andrew.

I was only 2 in1957.  Do I get a Cracker Jack Pencil or a Dan Dare Badge?  Although I know Mickey, I was a friend of his brothers Noel and Martin.  I think I could get more names if not all, tomorrow.  I think I saw this photo in an exhibition.
