I'm Roy brown, I lived in Townsend street, I knew your da also his brother Patrick. He was such a nice man. I'm sure he will be sadly missed by an awful lot of people.

sorry to hear about bill him and my brother john where good mates . i was mates with paddy mc callum. haven,t seen any of them in 50 years . where did the time go. its that long since iseen roy brown also .will say a few prayers.pat leonard

I was reading through a good bit of this chat and was familiar with all the names of families and streets from back then. My da is bill mccollum townsend street..He sadly passed away a few days ago

I must dig out a few photos and paintings he has of the old streets he knocked about in during the 40s and 50s and share them

Joseph Marley was my dads oldest brother

hi im new to this please bear with me my grandfather came from boomer st i think we all have fond memories of the steps  :)
My father was Michael Marley we lived in wee mcdonnell st His brother Joseph lived in Boomer st and I was taken to see him there and was at his funeral mass in St Peters

hi  my great grand father was joseph from boomer st my grandad was also joseph

Came across this while searching for old photos of Belfast. Maureen & Andy were my parents. Now both deceased as are all mentioned here. I remember visiting Aunt Annie, Sarah & Billy there as a child. As a teeager I lived with Annie in Sevastapool St after she'd suffered a stroke. Sarah & Billy lived up the street. I remember them all fondly & particularly Lily's son Frankie, his son 'wee Frankie' and his son 'wee wee Frankie' as Lily used to call them. I would love to see any photos of them.
