Title: St Vincent De Paul Elementary School
Post by: Gezzabell on January 04, 2019, 12:15:31 AM
Hi all, I’m after school photos (if any) of St Vincent de Paul Elementary School between the period of 1925 to 1950, this period should encapsulate the time my Dad and his siblings went there. In particular I am after ANY photos that include the “Hutchinson’s &/or the “Nobles” of Ligoniel, my father was a Hutchinson. Thank you for any help

In Ulster the usual current and post WW2 term for a school for young children would be a primary school,... schools for very young children in the U.K. are more rarely called elementary schools.

It sounds like you're probably talking about what is now St Vincent de Paul Primary School, 167 Ligoniel Road, Belfast,... which is also in the Ligoniel district in Belfast,... although for some reason the school website is spelling the address as Liggoniel. !

In 1924 the school, which was at the same address, is listed as "St. Vincent de Paul's male & female N.S." that will be National School.

BTW,... Given the time period involved, and in case you aren't already aware of it, you'll probably find some other earlier records relevant to your family here,...
